Apartment renters..how much do you spend?

holy shit....you guys pay a lot for rent...

I've got a brand new 3000 sq ft. house that I only pay 1500 a month for.

This suggested budget I found was as follows:

33% - Housing, utils
14% - food (I could easily make this 10% since dining out is my entertainment below)
14% - auto (no car payment and I get half my gas free so I could make this 5%)
05% - auto insurance (even with renter's insurance this would be 4.5%)
09% - debt, savings (got a credit card balance of $4K, I could up this to 13%)
05% - entertainment (dinner & movie 1-2 times a month)
05% - clothing (even 5% is almost $2K/year; I don't spend 1/3 that)
05% - medical (I don't pay for healthcare so this would be eyeglasses and yearly exam, down to 2%)
10% - miscellaneous

With those adjustments I should be able to handle 40% on rent/utils.
