Anyone with NY volunteer information

Ive been trying to gather information on volunteer search and rescue in NY , willing to fly up from chicago today if needed not medic, qualified but willing to help anyway possible any NY bros have any info ....already tried redcross ,Fema and amway no luck God Bless

according to my husband who is a firefighter here in NY they have been told that they are not accepting anymore new volunteers because the FBI is taking over the case and the scene. they say they are calling on the military and their own people.
