Anyone used a shock collar for dog training?

One of my dogs gets insane when any person or animal walk by the fence. I have a privacy fence and she slams into it at full speed, sometimes breaking a part of it. She is like 75 pounds and I was looking at those collars today.

Its the only alternative, its very effective for canines. I used it for my dog who would bark incessantly when Id leave, you only have to use them for a few days til they learn the behavior is wrong.

Then you take off the collar, if later they start to do it again, the mere site of the collar will remind them. Its pavlovian conditioning which works amazingly well on dogs. And its not a painful shock really. I tested it out on myself and buddy who fell asleep many times lol.

No, itll solve the problems, its ironic that people would rather put down a dog rather than put a collar on them to solve the reason why they choose to kill the dog

I always wanted to know what that stuff felt like, I'd feel alot more comfortable using one if I knew how painful it was because I hate them haha

the dog collar is very minimal compared to a stun gun or taser, Ive tested all of them out

mildly uncomfortable or utterly nut smashing? can you compare it to anything.

Did you use the one made for barking or the one with the manual control? I think I would go for the manual one because I want her to stop slamming against the fence and the barking would be a plus.

We ended up getting one for our dog. She had problems listening to us and tended to run away when we took her out to do her business. After 2 days with the shock collar her behavior took a 180. Now, we don't even have to use the collar. If she starts to run away, or is acting up, we just take out our cell phones or pick up a remote and she thinks it is the remote for the collar and instantly calms down and listens again.

i might have to get one for my dog that barks at anyone and everyone. bad mannered dog..
