Can someone explain to me what I need to do here.

I downloaded bitLord, an application, but I am still not exactly sure what I am supposed to do to get files.

Also, are there clients better than bitlord?

Search for something you want to download; if it's available there will be a .torrent file. Download and open that in your BitTorrent app and it will start downloading.

that was exactly how it was explained to me, yet it doesn't seem to work so easily.

I've had problems with bittorrent too. I went out and got eDonkey and that works just fine. Not only does it link up to Gnutella networks it also take torrent links all in one easy-to-use program.

Azureus seems to be the easiest application to use. I didnt have to do anything at all to get it to start working other than install it. I'd reccomend that one.

After than I just searched for "torrentz" and found some sites. The torrentz file is really tiny and is just basically a map to find the actual file on torrent networks.
