havnt tried it but ive been wanting to. i can get some from work, just havnt bothered yet. we use it as an anti-dote to cyanide poisoning. luckly i havnt had that yet enough to need it.

Amyl nitrate? You mean poppers? The stuff gay guys use to relax their sphincters before they pound each other? Probably be alot like whippets, all it really does is take the place of Oxygen so you get dizzy from the lack of it, not a real high. Give me some xanax or PK's anyday!

'Poppers' are amyl- and butyl- nitrite.

If you want to use nitrates recreationally, by all means, knock yourself out. I doubt you'll find them much fun, though.

Lol, my bad bro, I was off by one oxygen atom. I've seen whippets first-hand, the point I was making was the neither amyl nitrite "poppers" or nitrous oxide actually does much itself, it's the fact that it's taking the place of oxygen that gives users the rush. All they really feel is oxygen deprivation, you could get that just by breathing into a paper sack till you get dizzy, kids used to do that in my middle school all the time. I'll work on my chemical terminology

Nitrites and nitrates are often used interchangable in reference to poppers. However, to someone that might be reading this thinking, "cool, i wanna try this shit", they might find some source or another and end up buying some some nitrates, lol. Both are pretty widely used drugs, but a big difference for someone looking to try poppers.

I personally don't think either drug is worth any rec value, but I know there is always an following for amyl and such.
