I was getting my car serviced at acura and they gave a me an 06 tsx as a loaner, it comes standard with XM radio. I FUCKIN Loved it!...the music stations are great. how easy is it to add on to your car? I dont give a damn about howard stern so dont even mention sirius.

Can I add to my car without some bulky reciever and wires all over the place.

I think you still need a bulky looking antenna no matter what kind of XM system you purchase.

I would call a local car audio shop (not best buy or circuit city).

My bro has XM and I have Sirius. The new receivers are very small and they only need an antenna wire ran and an ac power cord.... they work wireless through an FM station on your existing head unit. If your head unit is satellite radio ready, you could buy the tuner module and antenna and have no wires shown.

While it's easier to set up an FM-modulated unit, you're sacrificing quality for convenience.

I would definitely want XM hardwired into my existing head unit...so I definitely suggest getting a satellite radio ready unit like Nicky the Muscle suggested.

Are the newer antennas still huge and ugly?

lol.

The new antennas are much smaller... roughly 2" by 3".

im ordering a new car tommorrow, and one of the options is "satellite prep" , they offer sirrius full installion also but im assuming the "sat prep" will allow me to hardwire xm??

I would check with the dealership. My friend bought a Honda, and they only offered XM. He wanted Sirius so he had to buy is own tuner module and antenna kit.

I have the roady2 reciever in my truck. I really enjoy the music. It really sucks there are christian worship stations right in the middle of the pop/rock music.

I was just looking online and the most popular reciever uses a tape player adapter...what freakin car still has a tape player..mine doesnt!!??!!

XM or sirus are the shit

this is gay with honda/acura...if your car was made from the factory without XM, you cannot buy the dash of a tsx with xm and have that clear smooth factory look. repeat you cannot just buy the Xm stuff to make your tsx look like a tsx with it alrdy installed when the car was manufactured..very gay..

that is the way it is with honda/acura......

dude... i tried to get rid of my ride this weekend for a bimmer too....such a fucking mess....ughhhh

some car companies like infiniti will let u choose which one u want..some like honda/acura have a deal tho XM where u can only get XM from the factory

my diesel pickup does (I'm waiting for pioneer's 880mp reciever to come out at the end of this month) because I still have the factory delco or whatever. The tape player reciever sounds a lot better than the built in fm transmitter.

does your head unit have any sort of aux input?

how much is the monthly fee for XM or Sirus?

yeah I had mine installed a few months after I bought the car... it was apparently already "wired" for both, so all they had to do was connect some wires in the trunk and put that tiny antennae on top and activate the subscription. it's integrated with the rest of my CD/Radio now, no separate receiver, pretty cool.

ya thats the thing.... i love XM or sirus but I would only get it if has the nice factory look like yours does...all intergreted into the factory dash..not that gay ass huge box sitting out in the cabin

u should trade your g35 in for the m35 sport dude..... get the 19s on their ..with that nice brown leather they offer in the M's

Ya I got it in my Car, Well my girls car it's great I got ESPN Radio every morning on my way to work now interception no static it's fucking great

i just want all the heavy metal and techno I can handle with no gay commericals

the house stations on xm kickass, some descent rock/metal stations to. The TSX had it intergrated right into the headunit. The stations are so good i still might get it even if i have to have that gay silver box sticking out.

I have the box sticking out, connected to my air vent, but it doesnt look bad. I have no complaints.

Nj juice BF is a total prefectionist and he will get all sissy with Nj if the dash doesnt look prefect

I definitely want this shit. However, I think I have to go with the fm modulation route because I use two cars and will want to switch back an forth.

How much is for the portable ones anyways?
