Sure you can-but i would never take...Me,my mom, and my husband are all same types..I needed a transfusions not desperately but enough to where the physicians were trying to convince me. I asked if they could take his blood and give it to me, and they laughed at me...So- I looked at them and laughed at them.
From that moment when I was told NO that all the blood has to be filtered, tested, etc I have told my husband if I need transfusion the answer is no(of course if I am not aware then whatever that is his choice). I just ewwww find it gross.

I agree, it's gross. If it was meant to be in me, it would have been there when I was born. No exceptions.

I never really understood why to get married there had to be blood tests done. I always assumed it was the states way to determine if relatives with the same DNA were attempting to get married LOL. Sounds retarded but makes more sense than wasting time and money for the hell of it. Not like they ever denied anyone due to the blood types, as many - have married +'s and had babies, etc.
So what other reason did they have?
