Anyone old enough to remember this?

I'm old, but not that old. I heard once that the singing dude had a 7 octave voice. Damn, my strat only has 4 octaves (not counting artificial). They got a standing ovation, I see.

I can't remember to wear a coat in the winter... I don't have a clue who THOSE guys are.

My parents hadn't even met in 73, apart from the weird yodeling and the whistling they rock! Strange setup having the organ and drums up front and the guitars behind.

for some reason that brought to mind a old cartoon or show with a mannequin that would only come to life by saying "hocus pocus alamagocus" or some shit...

A year after my parents bought their house. I wasn't even a thought in their minds.

I'm going to assume my parents watched it because Gladys was hosting. At the point that man opened his mouth, my dad probably said "wtf is this?", put out his Marlboro and asked my brother (then 6) to change the channel (since he likely was sitting right in front of the t.v.).

Gladys Knight and the Pips had a short-lived summer variety series. I vaguely remember it, I was 12. Richard Pryor, the Jackson 5 and Dolly Parton and Barbara Mandell also had good variety shows that didn't last long.

I guess they were to TV then what reality shows are today.

I remember the song well but not seeing them on tv. I had a Summer 73 8-track that I loved.......or was that Autumn 73....shit I've forgotten..so sad.

Didn't know you had to be OLD to know that one. But shit, I was in the Air Force by then with 4 stripes and workin on a 5th. Does that make me OLD?

Gotta be "Hocus Pocus" by Focus.... HAH! I was right.
