Anyone knowledgeable on HANDGUNS?

Fastball

New member
I've had my concealed carry license for several years now and have always carried a Rugger 9mm. I rarely ever carry it on my person, but usually in my vehicle. I recently sold my Rugger, so I'm in the market for a new gun. I really like the Glock 36 for concealed carry, but since I'll be primarily keeping it in my car, I thought a larger frame gun might be better. I do have small hands though.

Any suggestions on some cool handguns (no revolvers)?

Do you smell like cabbage? You're a Carny aren't you? Never mind, why no revolvers? They don't jam! If your stuck on a pistol I like the colt 1911 45.

why do you need to carry a concealed weapon? just curious.

Why do you need to post messages on Elite?

You don't - you just have the right to and enjoy exercising it.

get a .38 special, you can find them at gun shows in Texas easily and they are a good gun. I prefer a .308 semi-auto rifle instead...

Maybe she was just exercising her curiosity. It is a chat board, after all.

Glock 23 is my fave light auto... 40 cal and really as small as you need if you have a concealed carry permit. For revolvers, hammerless Smith in the Lady J frame made of ultralight alloy and loaded with +P 38s. It gives you essentially a 357 wallop in a very light package. A full sized Colt 357 is better for the glove box, though.

If you need an ultra concealable auto the P-11 in 9mm is good, but I'm not a fan of the 9mm round.

My wife has the Lady J frame she carries concealed. Nice gun and it has some real good knock down power too.

One of the funniest things I ever saw...

I used to live three miles into the national forrest. The women who lived up there were very sports active... climbing, hiking, horse back riding, mountain biking, rescue volunteers with mountain rescue... really interesting women. One day about half a dozen of them were hanging out having lunch and sodas on my porch. (My cabin had a great over hang over the stream... and it was a great stop after a mountain bike or horse ride.) The subject turned to "what do you carry" and all these chicks were whipping 38 snubbies out of their fanny packs and comparing guns. It's kind of hard to describe why it was so funny. You just had to see it. It was like they were comparing favorite cute shoes.

This would be perfect for you. Believe me I use it.

Smith Wesson 9 mm compact but they have larger model if you wish.

LOL thats a great story. My father has a Deer Camp in the North/West corner of PA and during hunting season you see all kinds of women like that. I think it is great that women are not scared to carry, my wife thinks it's the best thing she has every done. She will never leave home without it. She tries to go to the range every week or so to practice. She is doing very well at the range, I'm proud of her.

I understand both her point and yours. My point was only that she might not have been asking about the morality of it; she might have just been interested in what reason he had for carrying a gun. Is he a PI, does he carry lots of money, does he just like guns, what?

I think your amazingly hostile and insulting tone ill becomes a mod. How interesting that you are the one to resort to name calling this time, Warik, and so quickly too.

Since you've invited me down to your level, I should point out that someone who intends to post such condescending and pompous tripe should really check his grammar first. You obviously didn't.
