Anyone know how to pick an electronic lock?

My girlfriends dorm has this lock that you need a key card to get into it with. Her roomate wont be back until after 9 tonight and the schools security refuses to help her. Is there any way to pick these locks somehow?

You need a special kit. We have one here, it looks like a laptop and works on almost any lock. Problem is: it costs around 1000$. Otherwise just place a breaching charge lol

Even with a kit, you'd need to know someone's keycode if it's HID.

If it's smart card, you'd need both a public and private key stored on a dummy card that has the right ATR.

It's just a college dorm room...kinda like the ones they use in hotels..not like its NASA or the Pentagon...You think its still that secure? Would a locksmith be of any help?

The only way around HID swipe and smart card access is to deactivate the elctro-magnet that locks the door.

You could just hook a small metal plate hooked to wires between the door and the magnet, and hook those wires to a car battery. Even then, those doors pull 220v, might not work, but it would look cool!
