Anyone into Drum n' Bass?

Anybody else into drum n' bass,Tech,Garage,House music? I am working on making some tracks. My stuff is leaning towards Dieselboy and DJ Dara style beats. What do you listen to if your into DnB?

I was big time into it a couple of years ago. Tech step & hardstep shit, full on Jungle! My fave DJ's were Aphrodite, DJ 3D, AK1200, Diesel Boy, R.A.W. among others I cant remember. I stopped going out to jungle parties and clubs so I lost interest in the music. One of my buds, who was my party partner back then, kept up with it and is now on his way to becoming a big time promoter in the L.A. Jungle scene (he's throwing gigs with the right people and the right talent).

I've been out to a few spots with him recently and the crowd just looks weird now. When I used to go out, the Jungle crowd sported big Jenco pants, cammy (camouflage gear) and just looked like they were at a rave or jungle party. Now everyone looks Emo and like they're in an MTV video. The music is still bad as though.

I never got into Drum n' Bass or Gabber, but I do like the hardcore pounding stuff that grew out of it. DJ Promo, etc. I've been into electronic music since the earlier days of Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk. I find that techno in general has a very short shelf life, as it has a way of sounding dated pretty quickly. I still never tire though, of the sound that comes from a Roland TB303 when it's all nice and squelchy...and drippin' with acid.

I also like PsyTrance a lot, but I'd like to know who the hell decided that every song should be at least 7 minutes long??? Sometimes it just gets soooo repetitive, while waiting for the journey to begin.
