Anyone here run Amsoil lubricants?

I'm sure it's good, but Mobil 1 synthetic is more readily available and is very good also.

I couldnt find any mobile 1 synthetic 15 40 to put in my truck at oriellys, napa, or advanced auto parts.

I ordered Royal Purple 15/40 synthetic and am going to try to go 30k miles without changing

I think that I got some oil designed for normal use. I'm running it in a cummins diesel pickup. If all goes well I'll be starting the install on my Frantz toilet paper bypass filtration system.

Every 2k miles I'll put a quart of oil in when I replace the TP filter. I have a lot of highway miles and I try not to roll smoke when I dont have to or someone doesnt piss me off.

15w40, is that what your owner's manual calls for? That's an odd multi-vis split.

AMSoil is, from what I've heard, a very good product line. The problem isn't with the product, but with the fact that it's only available from multi-level marketing scam artists who are relentless, brainwashed zealots who will try to hook you into the scam.

I use it in my sleds. A friend buys it buy the 55gal drum. I can also buy it at Fleet Farm in Wisconsin for a decent price. One of the most tolerable smelling synthetics I've used....

HYPE.

Additives aside, oil is oil for the most part...just change it often and you will be fine.

Just ask any automotive engineer.

Just ask any oil expert and you'll find out there are substantial differences. Check out bobistheoilguy. It's hard to argue with used oil analyses. Everything else is talk and opinion, UOAs are fact.

M1 synth is overpriced I think. Dont they make a synth blend? Seems like I read good UOAs on the blend.

Juiced, Ams is one of the very best dino oils. However, probably the best inexpensive oil as verified by UOAs is Motorcraft. For the price that is REALLY a great oil.

Like PICK said start getting some UOAs for your truck to make educated decisions regarding the very best fill for your wear patterns.

yeah, heavy duty diesel oil... I also run synthetic 2 stroke oil in one of my jetskis. The other can't run on synthetic besides amsoil because of the friction modifiers not being compatible with the wet supercharger clutch.

I'd like to think with as many people who swear by it that it's good stuff.

Which amsoil do you run in your sleds? I'm considering running it in one of my jetskis...

I think the one I've looked at for short runs is Amsoil Dominator
