Anyone here have an MBA?

I made $500 today by one hour of programming expressions to do footprints in a dynamic particle system for a rigged animatic robot in a snowy field for a client.

Translation: I adjusted the gamma setting on my Xbox so I can frag people on Halo2 better. My m4d skilz 0wnz u!!!

Now i'm going to the mall while Bikinimom posts on EF all day.

Translation: Yes, I'm one of those kids who wears black clothes, a wallet chain and ear gauges who hangs-out at the food court. Sure I'm a little too old to be there, but I'm way cooler than the rest of these middle school kids anyway.

Skills > MBA.

Yes, but Skills + MBA = I'm the guy giving you your programming assignment for the day.

Beat that bitch.

Since you already have work experience, you're not really going to be lumped in with others who are going "directly" from undergrad to grad school. I think that the decision should be driven in part by how much you like quantitative vs. qualitative analysis. If you're into quant stuff (e.g. markets, finance, operations research) go for the MBA. If you're more of a qualitative guy into the socratic method, law school is the place for you. That's not to say that there aren't places where they intersect. For example, securitization and M&A law would have both a qualitative and a quantitative component. Of course, if you're really indecisive, you could enroll in one of the many joint MBA/JD degree programs that are out there at large research universities. I have an MBA. It's ok. My friends with JD's don't appear to be having any more fun than I am. And while I've never met an unemployed lawyer, I've never met an attorney who enjoyed being one.

Damn that was well said. I really struggled with the MBA vs. Law School decision myself and your last sentence is what sealed the deal for me. My sister is a lawyer.

You made a WHOPPING $500.00 today? Was that net or gross?! Either way, I am impressed.

Shit, I really needa stay on EF 'cause *bank* like that wouldn't even get my car parked at the mall. That's more like a casual every day weeknight for us: dinner and a trip to the cigar bar.

Good thing they pay my old FART well at the drive-up window. I mean, how else could we afford to keep all those lawyers in their mercedes?
