Anyone Here Ever Pay To Train W/ A Retired Pro Bb, Ie: Frank Zane, Lou Ferrigno?

I have to go to San Diego for biz and was thinking of training w/ Zane. He charges just about $700.00 for 3 3hr sessions at his own personal gym, cutomizes a diet for you and is totally 1 on 1. Lou ferrigno and a host of other BB's do this as well. Seems like a great opportunity.

To me, it seems awfully expensive, especially when someone can figure out the variables themselves.

I think its more of a psychological fix than anything else. Old school BB's who could share decades of wisdom is pretty priceless especially from the standpoint of a former Mr. Olympia.

I think it would be fucking fun as hell!
It's too pricey for me but still - I love to do it - just for the experience.

If you think of all the stupid bullshit we have all spent our money on in this sport over the years,$700 is not that much.

call tom platz. he's out of huntington i think. my friend worked with him this past year to get ready for the USA's.

pm me if you want his info.

Jesus Christ... just go to Gold's Venice... get a day pass and say "Hi" to the first pro you meet. They are just people... and they are in the gym every day. At one point or another I've worked out with many pros from the 80s and 90s simply because you needed the same bench or machine at the same time. A couple are arrogant dickheads... but most are friendly in the gym... and they sure don't charge $700. Most will train you cheap... same price as a regular trainer.

!st off, you train at "Their Homes" which is completely different then meeting at Golds.

2nd its 1 on 1. Big difference from being surrounded by a hundred or so distractions.

3rd you do not go up to a pro BB at any gym and interupt their workout, its just not the thing to do.

Hey Bignate, thx I looked him up and will email to find schedule. Platz would be a blast to train with.

I agree with Sofa on this.

I would rather spend the $700 on food and training equipment.

Besides, you can get a 2 year membership to a gym for this price.

What will these guys tell you anyway. . .you need to eat, rest, and train hard? It would be neat to meet some of the older pros, but to pay $700 seems silly to me.

Ok, bro, we do not always get along, but for once, I agree with you 100%. I think that was by far the most intelligent post on this thread, and pretty much sums up my opinion.
