I'm wondering if you have to keep going after they give you your exercises. I know you do if your post-surgical, but what about if its just a old injury your trying to rehab? After I had wrist surgery I had to go to physical therapy once or twice a week for a month or so but that makes sense becasue they would do things like ultrasound to break up the scar tissue and some infrared thing to make the incision site heal faster.
Right now I'm going to physical therapy for bad knees that I have had for years, that I finally went to the doctor for and was diagnosed with patalar femoral pain syndrome. They gave me a bunch of exercises to do at home on my first visit and gave me a printout of them, didn't do any ulthrasound or anything.
When I went back for another visit then next week, I just read them a list of question I had about the exercises and they answered it and that was pretty much it. I also asked them to show me some IT band stretches and they did. I don't want to waste my time or money by going every week if there not gunna do anything different. All the exercises they want me to do I can do at home, they are pretty basic. Do you really have to go every week or are they just trying to squeeze money out of you.
