Anyone here a computer gamer?

Its ok, but I hope you didn't spend much. I bought a GF3 Ti200 and overclocked it, about 5 months ago, and even this card is only 80% top of the line.

The one you bought is like the one I bought about a year and a half ago, 64MB was a waste of money buy the way, the card doesn't have the bandwidth to make use of it.

I was a Rogue Spear ADDICT, I used to play 8 hours a day (seriously), for about 3 months. I am now mostly on Ghost Recon, Medal of Honor (haven't finished it yet), basically realism shooters, the entire Rogue Spear line etc. Counterstrike is so fucking old I could not get into it, it feels like playing a Quake1 mod, I love straight Quake1 but CS I could not get into. As a free mod for HL I'm sure it was great, but Rogue Spear was all I needed.

Tribes 2 I could not get into, just don't like that kind of game I suppose.

Definately hit me if you want to shoot some shit, I'm in the Bay Area and have a whup ass cable connection (RCN, great upstream).

I have the same. It's a good card, and it'll run all the games out there quickly and crisply.

You won't be able to crank the resolution waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up, but you it'll go up to 1280x1024 easily.

In about a year, when doom 3 and tron 2.0 come out....and all the programers change thier code to deal with the new lighting effects, then you might have to upgrade to get the best effects. But until then you're good to go.

I bought an nVidia Verto GeForce MX 420 w/64mb of SDRAM... is this a good card? I started to get back into video games (online)... I am gonna get Half Life Counterstrike soon, but I have been playing Rogue Spear and Tribes2 lately... post up if you play Rogue Spear or Tribes 2 online, maybe we can play.

Its pretty crappy actually.. you went for the cheap one..

Right now your best bet is a GeForce 4 4200.. its now under $200 I think..

those MXs are like 60 or 70.. but they get outperformed by the GeForce3.
