Anyone have some knowledge to prevent Stretch Marks?

just curious, how many people get stretch marks on their biceps from lifting, either on or off cycle?

Anyone know how to heal them up quickly or prevent them??

Thanks in advance!

I'm very prone to them and got a lot just going from puberty. From what I've read keeping your skin moisturised and massaging it will help to an extent. Drinking water also helps to keep your skin moisturized. Deca increases collagen production and that is said to help with stretch marks...not taking it for that reason but I'm up 20 pounds and haven't noticed much in terms of new stretch marks..knock on wood.

I read a post where Needto recommended emu oil (australian only). He posted a link with a ton of info supporting that it can clear them up, so I'm sure it can prevent them.

Palmers Cocoa Butter cream works pretty good. My wife just had our 4th baby and has had pretty good luck using that cream. I also read the following.....

The amazing thing about stretch marks is that they're not really caused by the skin "stretching". People associate stretch marks with weight gain or pregnancy and assume that stretch marks are caused by our skin stretching to fit around this new, larger body. The association is so strong that the name 'stretch mark' was given, only further adding to the misperception.

Hormones are the Cause

The true cause of stretch marks is hormones. That's right, hormonal influences are the cause. How can I support this fact? Well, when people gain weight, our hormones are produced and metabolized by fat cells. Hormones resemble fat and cholesterol, so when we gain and lose weight it affects the hormones in our body, and also the hormones in our skin.

Interesting?

the usual cocoa butter, ive heard cutting open a vitamin e cap and rubbing it on is good too(the liquid kind). but other than that, theres not a whole lot you can do about them, just dont worry about it, be proud that you grew too fast for your skin. they turn white and fade after a while.
