Anyone have a BowFlex????

You can make pretty sweet catapults with the pullies and cables..

I recommend it if you plan on taking down any castles any time soon.

honestly i threw it out as soon as i got a bench and free weights bro. i dont like resistance i found myself always fighting it. i busted it i hated that piece of shit.

you should have given it to me.

select tech dumbbells are pretty good, the bowflex machines themselves are garbage. spend more and get a Vectra with a heavy stack.

I have the Bowflex Ultimate 2 and it's the best home gym I've ever used.
I use it on days when I don'thave time to go to the gym.

You can get a great workout from "any" piece of home equiptment - the reason most people HATE home gyms/Bowflex is cause they get bored of working out at home.

looks like a good investment...

don't kid yourself. go get a decent piece of equipment by Parabody or Hoist. it'll be smoother, more stable, real weight, more durable, cost less and last longer!

I got the SelectTech dumbells. Good for travel if if your driving....no complaints.
i saw them in a used sporting good store for $300, and the stand they were selling for $100, fucking rip off

The problem I see with Bowflex is that the most resistance is at the top of the movement instead of throughout the whole range. While it does build muscle, it will never compare to free weights and typical cable machines IMO. It's a whole different feeling than with free weights. When I have used it, I felt like I was straining everything else more than my muscles.

That's not enough for side laterals

I didn't buy the Bowflex to take the place of the gym - it's just a compact homegym with "everything" I need to get a good supplement workout in.

Either way - I like it.

The only way you could get a decent workout on a Bowflex is if you place it across your back and squat it several hundred times.

How do you do Deadlifts on a Bowflex? How about BB Rows? I could not do any of my workouts on a Bowflex - I thought this was a joke

agreed... :coffee:

The bowflex 2 cost like $1500-$2000, for the same cash you could have a power rack, a bar and a good set of weights which will do more for you then that rubbery piece of crap will ever do.

I have the select Tech DB's ...they're "ok."

One of the damned weight "blades" (i shall call them) likes to fall out... gotta go exchange it again (2nd time).

They're good for mini-workouts... like pinkie curls :p

My ring fingers are now JACKED!! ... Thanks Bow-Flex

lol... thread deemed :rainbow: *STAMP*

I don't see how anyone could like the bowflex! I hopped on one at academy too see what it was like and the first thing i noticed is i could do all the weight for more than 20 reps. It also felt like it was gona break the whole time. That thing is a piece of crap!!!!
