Anyone familiar with Echo readings?

My echo report came back everything within normal range. No echocardiographic abnormalities, no doppler abnormalities.. But on the report it says i have an ejection fraction of 76%. After reading around this seems to be a bit high... Do athletes have higher injection fraction than the norm? I'm just wondering what could be the reasoning for this.. I wasnt anxious at the time of the test.. And also im a 28 year old male... Not overweight, normal BP, normal HDL/LDL. thanks anyone with experience with this.

I would suggest you have a talk with your Dr if you want more peace of mind, an ejection fraction of 75% or higher could be hypotrophic cardiomyopathy However for athletes that is a normal range so if your Dr isn't worried you should be ok remember Heart size depends on YOUR size. There's no universal normal for everyone. However you're is just one notch higher nothing to be alarmed about

50-75% is normal. You get about a +/- 5% with that reading so....

If you want have your Dr consult with a cardiologist for further peace of mind.
