Anyone ever buy those economy bags of frozen chicken breast?

OK, so you guys are telling me there's nothing *weird* going on with the chicken? i guess I will just marinade it for longer and defrost and see if that will help...

well over here in cheap chicken sent to fast food vendors and resturants etc

they found in one case the meat was being injected with water to increase it weight, then injected with chemicals to help the chicken keep the water in it whe it was being cooked, and in some cases injected with pork to help up the portien content. not sure of this was when the chicken was in the burger state or before it.

another case was where meat only fit for animal consumtion was being servedin resturants (i.e. infected with parastites etc) but this is less of an issue with poultry





but both probably dont apply to the breasts you bought......

It says they were injecte with water, salt, and sodium phosphates....and they are ICE GLAZED. It's that ice glazed part that worries me. I don't know what that means.

Just don't ever visit a chicken house where they raise them.
They go from hatchlins to ready to ship out in 21 days.
They have more drugs in them than you could imagine.


Having said that, I still eat them.

they shoot all the little chicken wickens with antibitiocs so if you do get salmonella it might be resistant to some sort of antibiotics, they feed the chickens there own feathers too to save money. its really manky but you get that with pretty much any chicken nowadays so i just munch it

all the chicken over here is fucked anyway and is pumped full of all kinds of shit, so i just make sure i cook it real good
