Anyone else workout on a very irregular schedule?

For the past few months my workout schedule has been extremely irregular due to work and whatnot. I have been going to the gym and working out to max intensity each time, but I'm not going to the gym on any set pattern. It might be that I workout 2 days straight then didn't workout again for 5 days, or worked out every other day for a week then took 4 days off, etc etc. I'd workout anywhere from 1-5 times a week depending on how I felt and what was going on in my life. This week I have worked out on Monday and haven't been to the gym since (mind you it was one of the most intense chest workouts I've ever had). Now it's Friday and I'm planning on a leg workout today. I will probably go again tomorrow or Sunday, or maybe both days. My diet has been in check and most consistent in a long time.

What I have noticed is that this is the best my body has looked in a long time. As a natural ectomorph I'm at the heaviest I've been and leanest (5'7" @ 190lbs ~10% bdf). Mind you I'm completely natty as I've never touched juice.

Anyone else workout irregularly with great results?

ummm..no....failure to plan is a plan to fail......just my opinion....If I am scheduled to workout on a given day, I do. Nothing will get in the way of that. I dont care if I have to go at 2am.......there are 24 hours in the day, you def. have ONE to spare and hit the gym......but, hell, if you are getting good results, keep at it..........

My lifting schedule is erratic, but it's due to me rock climbing, hiking, and kayaking. I make sure I do something physical several days a week, but it doesn't neccessarily have to be lifting for me. Then again, I'm not a true body builder either, I lift more for overall fitness (and a personal challenge) rather than just for the sake of getting big.

If you are serious about bodybuilding, then you need to stick to your guns and train on schedule. Everything else should come secondary; that's how champions are forged.

Once I go back on shift in a couple weeks mine will be very eratic due to my work schedule. I will be working rotating shifts, so one week I will be able to go in the morning, the next in the afternoon, etc.. My results are ok, but then again I'm not trying to get huge.

how do you do that!?

if its working for ya, meh...mine are somewhat errotic...i lift monday-thursday, but sometimes ill miss one for a ressle or something, and sometimes ill go in on saturday and get ahead on one of my days, but whatever

Im extremely consistent, yet very irregular at the same time. I dont follow any set times to train, eat or sleep. It constantly rotates, with my unstability.

i am supposed to rotate shifts at work every two weeks; the weekend work schedule could be just about anytime during the day or night. i try to swap around to stay on the same weekday shift, usually 4 to midnight, but don't always succeed.
