i have those--but like every third one is half brown (no obama jokes). they are the best in colorado for breaking the very common 70 mph gusts...

I fell for about 18 months after I got out of the army. It was my favorite job I've ever had, period. I loved it and wished I was back doing it right now, toss your hat out and practice laying them down on it! Don't pick the easy fall either, work the tree.

True story: my one cousin was killed by his only brother accidentally when he was crushed by the tree his brother felled.
Was very sad... Both were married with children and my aunt and uncle had to live with the horror not only of the tragic death but of their older son's consequent incarceration for manslaughter while the death was investigated.

my grandpa had a pekingnese that had a tree land on it that my grandpa had just cut down. The dog had blood coming out of its ears and nose, and pappa thought it was dead and carried it home. It sort of came back to life all of a sudden.
a couple years later, it was hit by a truck. The guy who hit it knew my grandpa and knew the dog was his. So, he picked up the dog and took it home and was going to give what he thought was the dog's corpse to my grandpa. Well, the damn thing sort of sprung back to life again, just like the last time. It freaked that guy out.
This dog had 3 or 4 accidents like that where he appeared to everyone to be dead and then came back.
Very Pet Cemetary-ish shit...lol.

I dropped a lot of trees after the big ice storm here years ago. Hated doing it...so when I needed some trees cut down on my property earlier in the summer, I just paid someone else to do it. Dropping them isn't that bad, but cutting them up into manageable pieces and hauling it all away...that sucks.
