Woot you like car books? Try Go Like Hell. The story of Ford Vs Ferrari at Lemans during the late 50's through mid 60's. Great read.

Just recently bought the book Oil! by Upton Sinclair.

I enjoyed The Jungle, hear that "There will be blood" was based loosely on this book so figured I'd check it out.

i read about a book a week. reading "wintergirls" right now. Before that I read "shutter island". also read "girl with the dragon tattoo", and... I forget what I read before that.
not sure what's next... i have a few lined up.

Only non-fiction, usually.

The Next 100 Years is highly recommended, my son.

Usually read fiction. i love a good story!

but currently flipping through the pages of Hot, Flat, and Crowded by Thomas Friedman.

I read the Times Picayune this morning while I was taking a puddle monkey

just read a book for the first time in ages. It's a really sad story about the 3rd worst child abuse case in california history- it's called A Child Called It.

It's sad as hell, but if you like these kind of books i'd recommend it

"The Wordy Shipmates" Vowell, Sarah
"Hell's Angels" Thompson, Hunter S. <<<<< I love this more than "fear and loathing in las vegas"...tho thats pretty awesome as well
"Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" Gilbertson, Ashley this was good enuff that both my and my husbands respective schools ordered it for the libraries, mainly pictorial...but pretty awesome
"A Seahorse Year" D'Erasmo, Stacey
"Drowning Ruth" Schwarz, Christina
"The Lovely Bones" Sebold, Alice

these were some quick picks from my personal library...and theyre all books I liked enuff to have eitherr signed first editions or just firsts...

I have far more favorites than that...but those are what I grabbed quick
off my shelves/what I might recommend to guests

uhhhh...WTF may actually be depressing tho...so maybe stay away from that one?? I dunno
