Anyone been to vegas recently? I'm going for the first time!

I will be there next thursday, friday, saturday and sunday night...my first time

where is good to go now each night?

from what I have read, here is what I have so far...

thurs night - baby's (i;m staying at the hard rock so not far to go

fri night - drais afterhours...c2k?

sat night - utopia

sunday night - ??? I heard the have a S.I.N night at house of blues (service industry night)..I went to these when I lived in New Orleans, they started at 1AM went till ?? Same thing in vegas?

any suggestions by people who have been there recently would be greatly appreciated!!

other places I read about - Ra, the beach...worth going to?

keep in mind I am used to the NYC club/lounge scene...

Sat. night check out "rain" at the new hotel Palms. Drais, as always for after hours.

Sunday night there's a new club at the Bellagio. (forgot the name of it) I was there last time I went to Vegas and it was pretty fun.

The Beach sucks!

I'm also staying at the Hard Rock, so I'll see ya there.

I don't know what all the hype about Drais is about. I was there during the Olympia and I thought it sucked ass. We were in the VIP line and still had to wait a ridiculously long time to get in. And once we were in there was almost no one inside. The atmosphere was shitty also. I'd never go back there again. Babys is fun though. I'd definetly recommend that place...

I'm in Vegas 1 or 2x a month, and depending on what music and scene you're into I'd say unlike the previous guy that Drai's rocks for Afterhours. Very posh and great trance/house music. Cool vibe, good place to get f%cked up. Baby's I think personally is lame, although I always pick up chicks there it's a bit of a collegey crowd. Utopia is the bomb when they have something good going on but if it's just a regular nite it will be empty. Light at the Bellagio is probably the "place to be" right now, but I'm not into their music. A bit of hip hop and everything else, really expensive but the place to be seen. Ra sux unless you like Hip hop. Rum Jungle is a decent place to start. Cool setting. Seven, also fairly new is a pretty cool scene too. Hope this helps.. email me for more info.. I was in vegas for the first time a month ago. Rum Jungle SUCKS. Babys is cool, and studio 54 wasnt bad.
Overall there is a terrible ratio (for men), great one for you. 3 guys for every chick.

Wednesdays go to the Ra. They play the best house and techo music.
Thursday's go to Baby's
Friday's go to Studio 54 or Ghost
Saturday 54 also.
Afterhours go to club that is in paris hotel called the Moulin Rouge.
Of course I go 3 times a year for the last 10 years and I know all the bouncers, etc. so VIP is awesome.

Yes drais is Ok as well as rain. Rum Jungle sucks. C2K is good depends on the nite also.
I never waited in line. Guess it pays to know people.

weeell, I'm back.

I had a great time. Hard rock is defnitely the best place to stay, I am so happy I didn't stay on the strip. Great pool, bar/casino always packed no matter what time any day. Coolest people in my opinion.

Not the place for clubbing for me though. First night went to Rain, omg, gorgeous place, bad people, worst music. In fact, I didnt hear one record in Las Vegas from after 1999 at any place. Did record stores stop delivering there or something??? Then hit up baby's, actually had fun there. Was a rap DJ that night but at least he had some newer records.

sat went to utopia, maybe 20 people there at most. how does this place stay in business?? Interesting set-up, and great lasers.

Checked out house of blues for S.I.N night, bad music again but a fun time overall...
