i have been adding a scoop with my whey protein shakes along with milk, does this seem like a reasonable way to up the amount of protein in my shakes? the stuff is very cheap and seems to have the same nutritional values of regular milk.
thanks, foo

Powdered skim milk is a great source of protein. You can make your own protein shakes with it, just put a couple of glasses of milk in a blender, throw in a couple of scoops of skim milk powder, a couple of eggs, and whatever flavoring you want. I use cocoa powder.

Cheaper than whey and tastes better too.

skim powdered milk is mostly casein, not whey

True, but casein is a good slow release protein source. If i remember right whole milk protein is roughly 70% casein 30% whey, not a bad mix.

Its all that lactose i would be worried about, id be shittin for days if i added milk powder to milk.
