Anybody Try This??

tattoo artists dont mess around with scars usually, i dont think that you can tattoo on them, and the more you grow the more the tattoo will stretch out and it will look retarted.....just get some shea butter and mederma and they will fade in time

Yeah with the trend of body modification going to the extream with tats, brands and scarification, almost any body shop will tatoo over scars or they can add too them make some bad ass designs. But stick with tribal or symbols, something that can stretch and grow and still look good. Tell the shop what your looking to do, a good one will find something that fits ur needs but be sure to shop around. :)

jubei where are your stretch marks at?? I have them on my arms and lats, but the ones on my arms are on the underside of them. My lat stretch marks are basically in my armpits, so they are concealed too.

If you are really worried about them, get yourself a tan, and talk to some women who have been pregnant before and ask them what creams work best. But ya ...tatts would do the trick too if in a bad place. I have tats on my arms, and I am more embarrased of some of them then stretch marks. Like the skin they have stretched, and faded bad from exposure to the sun and tanning. They really look jailhouse style.

Mine are the top front of my biceps and a little on my chest.

Exactly, stretch marks are scar tissue and from my understanding will not hold ink. I had this discussion with my tatoo artist.

i might be able to help on this one...
im covered from neck to ankle in tattoos... i have also been working in a tattoo shop for 10 years... tattooing over a scar or stretch marks could work.. depends on how bad the scars or marks are. if the scaring or marks are real bad... the tattoo will just look like shit..... in my opinion, thats even worse. nothing sucks more than a shitty looking tattoo... all my work is good(spent some serious $$ on them) . as far as distorting the tattoo when you grow from the cycle...you gotta get pretty f*cking big to do that... smaller tattoos have a better chance of distorting than bigger pieces....hope that helped.

Thanks for your imput sj.

I have posted this before but The Body Shop makes a cocoa butter cream in a stick like a deoderant. This stuff works great to prevent stretch marks or to keep them under control. I found it when my wife go pregnant, she started using it and got no stretch marks. I have been using it ever since and mine (from middle of bicep down armpit area and a little on the chest) have not grown and I have not got any new ones either.

I have a tat on stretch marks and it civers very well. Just femeber a few things. Get a shaped tatto that will look just as good if it were bigger. also remember, a new strech mark inside of a tatto will be all nice and white (or black).

One last thing, be safe. insist on new needle. Ask about ti first just being quizingly just to see if they already do it. Have them let you see the new pack and watch them put it on the gun. Some back woods bro's charge hella lot more for this where as the upscale places already do it.
