Anybody into this Crossfit training stuff?

And they expect to have functioning joints in 5 years?

Seriously, I want to see them getting up from a seated position or just getting themselves dressed 5 years from the time these ridiculous workout videos were made.

There is a way to cross-train and I can tell you.... that shit ain't it. Not if you want to be able to move around like a "normal" person a little ways down the line that is.

I just watched the whole 75 squats. Wow. He only rocked up onto the balls of his feet one time and that was around 40. that happens to me around 12, lol on a Smith Rack. Sheesh...

OH DANG!!! OK, now I'm watching the one with the chicks at the end. Wow, that's crazy stuff. I like the songs. What a trip. Now I wanna go to the gym but it's not open yet! LOL!

i have to agree with you. . .at 43, after years of contact sports, mogul bashing, skateboarding, motocross and heavy lifting (most of those things i don't even think about doing anymore), i get gimped-up just watching one of those videos. . .but i know people. . .quite a few actually. . .whose joints have allowed them to continue doing stuff that seems crazy to me, well into their 50's and 60's. . .to each his own. . .but that crossfit shit ain't for me. . .

LOL! OMG, I work out w/a ton of ugly intesity too like that last chick in the white top.

One of the skinny "trainers" (a man) at my gym very sarcastically asked me "U ok? heh, hehh Looks like your about to pass out!" I've had an old lady approach me with concern that I was "hurting myself" but never a gym employee. What an ass. I wanted to say, "this is how you get in shape little bitch" But of course I just smiled and ignored him. :rolleyes:

I have the joints of a college kid at 43, which I attribute to rarely going heavy in the gym. Other than gray hairs and not being as flexible as I used to be I still feel great.

i'm 43 and my knees are bone-on-bone. . .and have been for a few years. . .bad genes :worried:
