I really want to get into the business after i graduate. Right now i'm a marketing major, but i plan to switch to psychology and take a couple more science classes. I wanna switch to psychology because I am more interested in it and I've gotten nothing but A's in those classes.

You don't need the extra sciences if you're doing a BA in Psych. For you a BA would make alot more sense than a BS. If I don't want to go postgrad with Psych, I can always fall back on a number of things........Pharmaceutical rep being one of them.

maybe you could get a job in the black market, I heard it pays well.

All you need is a caddy with blacked out windows and a cool name like "TT".

An understanding of Ebonics also helps

The black market has its own share of risks and rewards, but in this day and age it's really not worth it, unless you live overseas out of reach of the US authorities. You can make a thick grip if you play your cards right, but eventual arrest is always right around the corner. Is that the life you want to lead?

Regarding Ebonics......the more people you can relate to the better, so in that sense it's good to know.

As in samples? Pharmaceutical reps are the only ones I know of that have samples they can give out. Other than that I don't see how you'd "get a handle of some goodies".

I find it hard to believe that all the narcotic pain relievers on the street are stolen and from prescriptions. I am sure there is a position along the line from where the drug is manufactuered to the time that it gets to the pharmacy that someone could get some.

I thought so too, until I met a guy who actually worked at a lab where tabs are manufactured and he told me that the security was tight and there was absolutely no way to smuggle anything out.

I think the drugs that hit the black market are "lost" sometime after they leave the lab and before they arrive at whatever warehouse destination they are stored at. That's my best guess. The only thing is that Class 3 scheduled drugs have a high accountability rate so they are traced wherever they go and at every stop they are signed for. So really, I have no idea how they fall through the cracks....
