Any use in eating truffles?

Has any of you guys here tried the truffle mushrooms? They are damn expensive, and I was wondering if there is any real health benefit from them, or they are just for the taste and to feel cool?

They are so expensive because they are exotic and don't grow easily in north america. They have no real additional health benefits then regular white button mushrooms.

If you enjoy the taste of them and have some extra money to spend, have at it. If you are eating them just for the health benefits and to increase your vegetable intake, stick with white button mushrooms. They have all the same nutritional benefits and pretty much an identical nutrition breakdown, just much cheaper.
