Any truth to the story about a woman lifting a car off her son?

My school bus driver from HS lifted the front of a car up enough to get an injured kid out from under. I saw it happen.

I raced with them, what did you think?

Calling "bullshit" is going to piss off a lot of guys. You have no reason to do so if you bothered to read the damn post which you obviously did not. The rear of a Ski Doo Summit with 2" paddles was packed with Spring snow. Have you any idea how much weight that can add?

Plus you talked of "digging" a snowmobile out of a hole in the ground. Fucking brilliant. Make it deeper.

Don't bother to "deal with it tomorrow". I don't care what you think since you are obviously a novice.

Yes I do, it is heavy but quite managable to lift....it is no where near 800lbs. Hell A Ski-doo Renegade weighs 470lbs (total weight) add snow weight of 100lbs (generous) and that puts the sled at under 600lbs....you are only lifting the ass end (which is the lightest part of the sled).

If you ever ride powder then you would know that digging is a must. Hell, go to www.johndee.com and ride some of his past winter journals and it will prove to you digging is done to free a sled.

Calling bullshit is done on this board everyday.....it usually pertains to someone's sexuality. So don't get your 14 year old Capt. Caveman underoos in a bunch. I just didn't believe your story and was quite curious on what sled you rode that was that heavy. Feel free to go to www.ski-doo.com to review weights or since you are a Polaris pro, you may have them memorized. I still don't understand why you needed to tell me you were with the Polaris Race Team, and how it added to your arguement. But anywho, thanks for the tidbit....make sure you get me an autograph next time you see them....better yet, tell them to switch brands if they want to start winning.

If you need anymore info, feel free to give this "novice" a shout.:)

don't know if THAT story is fact or fiction, but........

after watching my meek, prim, proper, polite church going mother in action facing down some dude foolish enough to grab my brother at k-mart many, many years ago...........

she like to had torn his arm outta the socket, ROARING at the top of her lungs words i didn't know the meaning of for many years to come.....

god save any man foolish enough to come between a mother and her infant child!!!!!!!!

I'd say it was true. A friend of mine was driving a Tercel in a field during a terrible storm. She hit a small stump that wasn't visible, but it left the front end of her car about 8 inches off the ground. This turned out to be a good thing because there was a ditch about 4.5 feet deep that she would have driven into. Me and three other guys lifted the car off of the stump and onto the ground, not knowing that the car was still in drive. So while me and the other guy got out of the way, the guy in the middle could not get out of the way and was forced to jump in the ditch, with the car rolling behind him. He turned just as the car was about to fall on him and he "caught the car." It had already begun its descent, but he caught the front end and pushed it back up. he held it there for a good 10 seconds before we could get in and take it out of drive and push it back.

We've all heard the story (or variation of) of the woman who, seeing her son trapped under a car, lifts the car to save him. What I am wondering is if this has any basis in fact? Did this ever happen? What about any other stories you hear of overcoming adversity?

Grannies wrestling panthers. Peoplke wrestling bears and winning.

People ripping metal chains off and leaping over 9 feet (or so).

When you are in life or death situation you are possesed, literaly.

Thats why you can often crank out 2 extra reps when you compete agains your partner screaming at you.
