Any truth to the story about a woman lifting a car off her son?

We've all heard the story (or variation of) of the woman who, seeing her son trapped under a car, lifts the car to save him. What I am wondering is if this has any basis in fact? Did this ever happen? What about any other stories you hear of overcoming adversity?

I'm not sure if it actually happened.... but it's possible. the human body can do some amazing things if the mind is in the right state. Look at those dudes who walk on hot coals, and look at all the crazy feats of strength that people on PCP can do. It's really amazing.

I remember it being on the news way back when, so there was probably some truth to it. In-human acts of strength are reported all over the place all the time.

Yes, my sister's old piano teacher had a horrible back because their jeep rolled over on her daughter, and she rolled it off her, lifting one side.

I lifted a large snowmobile, about 800 pounds give or take, packed with heavy Spring snow out of a big hole in the ground.

I had to, there was no walking out.

Lifting a corner of a car to save a family member? Why not?

I call bullshit...please tell me what the make and model of this snowmobile.

They make snowmoblies so they can be dug out and manually manueverd.
