Any Techno fans out there?

wow leigh nash has a solo album due this year
she was lead singer for six pence none the richer
what 13 years ago they came out
damn she's now 28 so she started at 15
she's a hottie and i love her voice
she and sarah mclachlin have me capitvated
yea it's not all techno but damn they added some credibilities to the likes of me so i could explore techno
my faves are delerium, chemical brothers, dj sammy,
would you consider garbage techno?

all techno is trash. All music is trash really. I love music. Play music. The older I get the more I realize, music is not for the artist, for me, for meaning, for politics . . . It is for you. It is entertainment. Are you entertained? Then it's good music. Is it electronic instruments in 4:4 with emphasis on the 2/4 beats? Then its techno.

Shut up and dance already. :)

At parties when I throw on some Trance everyone looks at me like I have the plague!
Fuck em, Trance/Techno kicks major ass.

luv the trance. I get the same reaction. Trance is actually alternative, in some ways much more alternative than "death metal" or "hardcore" bands (which I also love). Your average metal show has all kinds of regular joes and their babes. You ever go to a namlook or richie hawtin spin? Freaks like me make that freak central, my friend. With all the dance pop, it's easy to forget that trance is so alternative at its core. It's essentially a music that worships alternative mind states and believe that music is like sound programming of neurochemistry. That's fucked up. Much more so than being angry at the establishment. You know something's going on (just like grunge) when the "man" has to make his candy-ass commercial version of a genre to protect the masses. . .

one of my best buds, dj farmer brown weaves old skool, trance/techno, reggae, ska, hip hop and tones of madonna into his mixes
