honestly

just go to an electronics store and play around with a few of them. write down the model numbers of the the ones that you like and look up reviews of them on the net.

Sony or Canon for digital cameras.

I HATE sony products because most of it is shit and you're paying for four letters, but sony makes some really nice digital cameras, best quality when I was selling them.

We didn't have canon but they are probably tops I'd say.

get something with alot of megapixels 5 + at least.
