Boy have I fucked up. Yesterday my wife told me our oldest son(14) found my gear while we were in Florida on vacation last month. I had it in a VHS box inside my suitcase. I assume he went plundering and found it. At first I got on his ass for going through my things. The first thing that came to mind was I told him it was B-12. Any kid w/ half a peanut upstairs could read the amps, although alot of the writing is in arabic(organon sus amps). I know I'm going to have to talk to him. I just have no idea what to say. I have no idea what his percection is of steroids being only 14. I call myself being carefull but man was I wrong. Nice job huh?

you could try saying its doc prescribed hormone replacement therapy---or thyroid disfunction meds so you can control some sort of thyriod problem--ofcourse its always better to fess up especially with your loved ones--but i wouldnt say that applies in this case--you do not want to give your son the excuse that "my father does it and i look up to him so it must be safe and OK for me to do it" and beleive me at 14 bro--hes no dummy

Sorry to hear that man..... Well, I have to say I'd tell him that it's medicine you have to take..... Explain that some Men have hormone problems, and get steroids prescribed by the doctor..... Say that you aren't happy you need to be on them, and they are dangerous if not done with a doctors care...... Then when he's older (like in his 20's), you can come clean with him, and I'm sure he'll understand...... Touchy situation bro, how is your wife handeling it? Is she really pissed?

No, she's OK. Just worried as I am about what he's thinking or who he may something to.

When you go on vacation for two weeks or less just take an injection of sust or deca or primo or a combo, basically anything with a long esther. After all, you are on vacation and your goal while on vacation should be to maintain (not gain or progress) and to reduce any risk of detection (from airport, hotel security). Remember you are away from your home. Outside the home the law recognizes very few privacy expectations, not to mention you are in close quarters with others for an extended period of time.

Explain Andropause and how when he gets much older and has issues you will help him with his blood chemistry if needed.

i dont know if this will help we own a horse farm and we have to inject are horses time to time and we allways have bottles in the refrigerator.

It is really simple. Explain to him the truth, that grown MEN taking steroids while under the watch of a doctor is safe. Explain to him that boys taking steroids under the age of 21 (Very earliest) is dangerous and counterproductive.

Then go on to explain that steroids are not always taken to "cheat" (Since that is the perception he will have from the media) at sports, but rather to replace lost hormones as one ages. Then tell him it is keeping you young so you can keep up with him, etc, etc.

If you go to the gym 3-4 times a week and have "big muscles" then please give your kid some credit. at 14 he's not going to be a dummy right?.

just drop it and say nothing unless he asks about it.

to make up a dumb lie is like when teenagers are caught with a bag of weed and then say "but Dad I was just holding onto it for my friend johnny, it's not mine"

I agree. At this point probably the best thing is to just come clean at him with the whole truth making very sure he understands that aas are safe for adult males when used properly and with proper research. Explain to him the consequences of using them with out proper knowledge and, very important, before reaching ones genetical limit. Finally let him know that even when used properly there is always a a trade-off.

As others have said here, at 14 he is no little kid anymore and he kows what he saw, probably he even knows more about ass than you would even imagine.

I wouldn't discuss this under normal circumstances with my teenage boy, but under your current situation, I think this would be the best thing to do.

If you decide to talk to him, please let us know how did it go, cuz I'm sure something similar is going to happen to somebody else...

Good luck bro!! :coffee:

Don't lie to him. Tell him you take it because it helps you live a healthy lifestyle. If it's not Doc prescribed...don't tell him it is. He's 14 bro, he's nearly an adult.

Really appreciate the replies. I'm going to talk to him tonight and lay it all out. I've never lied to either of my boys and I'm not about to start now b/c that's what I expect from them. Hope it goes well. I feel like such a dumbass.

Guys
why bring it up at all unless the kid asks about it?
at 14 I knew nothing about gear and was very competitive in baseball and hockey.

I would wait a few months and see what the kid says or how he acts.

glad you arent going to lie...never a good idea to your kids
just explain to him why you do them, how well you researched them first, and that there are some risks that still come with using them, but as an adult, you can make that choice for yourself....if he wants to some day when he is an adult, that would be his choice as well
