A few votes for Maynard James Keenan....I've never been to a Tool show or listened to much of their music. Saw him on youtube. I can see he puts a lot of energy into his shows and seems fairly intelligent in interviews, has a pretty accomplished history behind him (army, accepted to West Point, etc), but I don't understand the borderline fascination with him. He seems like he could be a communist sympathizer, like so many musicians/actors these days. Many people buy into that image and their messages without even knowing what they mean.

I think it's ironic and perhaps a bit coincidental how many bands today are trying to echo the Vietnam era with some of their anti-war/Bush material, and they identify today with the same idealogy we were fighting against back then.
