Went to see Rollins Band Saturday night, and it was GREAT. They were taping a live album, and while I had to eventually move away from the stage to avoid getting my ass kicked by monstrous little mosh pit kids(argh - all ages show), I had a blast!!!

I do not like his music. But I am a huge fan of his books.

I liked him when he was with Flag.. and I like his first few CD's... but he fell off after End Of Silence.

I've been to a couple of his poetry readings - pretty intense.

I almost got the Black Flag tattoo on my ass when I was about fourteen or so - glad I decided against that....LOL

I agree with you - I think End Of Silence was definitely the best RB album, but I still like the others.

If you want some killer Rollins.. get Life Time and Turned On!!!

BTW... maybe you should have got the bars tattoed on you!!!!

rollins is indeed a bad ass. i saw his spoken word tour earlier last year, and i have a few mp3s downloaded . i won't front like i know all of his stuff..."Weight" was the only album i had, but i have always respected the guy and his message. he has great energy and charisma. people often post his article about The Iron on here.

I haven't seen him live in years... It's unreal - he's such an imposing person, and yet totally open.

He comes on stage like this sweating, bouncy freak, and is just ON the entire time. Love it, love it, love it.

Damn fiancee that wouldn't let me go be a groupie. Damn him. Heh. :D
