Any reason not to take creatine while training for a Marine PFT?

Well, I'm lifting more now as my PFT date is further off now. I'm alternating working out and running. IS there any reason why i should not take the creatine? My first priority is the running times to decrease, but I would also like to put on some muscle that I lost from running daily. Thanks!

PS: Alternate question: Is doing legs 1 time a week (2 tops) fairly light good for running strength? I'm talking about 3 mile times.

Creatine can be used both on a on-time basis or on an ongoing cycle basis.

Cycle off of it when the PFT is coming up but do a heaping tablespoon the morning of.
 
Well, I'm not set on a routine per se. I Run two days in a row and lift the next. I incorporate a Push/pull/legs split at the moment. MY main concern at the moment is getting my run time down. Closer to Training i will concentrate more on muscular strength and endurance along with super long distance running. :)
 
You do have to be careful when using creatine in hot endurance exercise because some people have experienced cramping.
