Any Physical Therapists out there?

I work as an Exercise Specialist in a Physical Therapy Outpatient Clinic. You definatley need a college degree to practice therapy and most programs only offer it as a Masters degree. Plus you have to sit for the state examination to get liscenced in the state and go to continuing education workshops to earn credit to maintain your liscence to practice.

In the U.S. most PT programs are or are in the process of becoming a entry level Doctoral program, very few programs are below the Masters Degree level.

Entry to a program is highly competative based on overall GPA, math & science GPA, PT volunteer experience, essay & intewrview. On average a program receives between 600 & 800 applicants and only 20 -40 are chosen based on the size of the University.

After completing the program you must pass a state medical license test to practice PT.

a lot of work for mediocre pay - thanks to HMO's
