Any of you guys wear fanny packs?

I think it is more of a European thing....kinda like the male purse..never really caught on here...kinda like speedos too....But every once in a while..You will she some jacked dood wearing the old school early 90s baggy colorful gym pants with a muscle shirt and fanny pack....I allways think that he must be carring some sort of anabolics on the fanny pack.

Well those square shaped ones and guys in those in spandex are a bit much. Mine is an Easport, its shaped flat like a Scottish pouch so its not noticeable even though its larger. Seriously though, its more comfortable than a back pack and it keeps pens, scissors all that crap in there, throw my pocketpcphone in there or ipod. I had to stay in motel while on call at one place so Id have extra hotel keys in there. Just convenient specially if you are into biking b/c you can walk out the door, walk into the gym and not have to go to the lockerroom to drop off a backpack.
Getting the right kind is key, I would never get the bright pink square ones like in the early nineties for a fashion statement.
This a dark blue pouch that I wear in the front or side. I use back packs too but this a pack that isnt on your back rather on your waist is pretty convenient

Funny how everyone says it looks "gay" yet I don't think many gay guys would be caught dead in one! LOL

Oh, and no way I would ever put one on unless I wanted to make everyone laugh!

According to my 14 yr old kid, something being GAY these days isn't always relating to its same sex attraction look or it being flammer fem, but rather it means that it is stupid, silly, dumb etc.

It's a shame they(FP's) look so silly on some people and have such a bad rap
of being fem, ero-tourist or retarded looking because they sure are convenient.

I applaud those that don't care what people think and use them.

Much like my wide brimmed Bharma Outback Hat I sometimes wear fishing instead of a baseball cap.

Yeah when Im bicycling, it doesnt even look like the old fanny packs and its off to the side of my waist. I dont give a shit what it looks like as long as its convenient and holds my stuff. Also when I was oncall alot I had my scrubs lined up, a waistpack with all the necessary things like swipecards, socks and shoes. Then if the beeper went off I could be out the door in less than two minutes with everything I need. Its just too logical not to use for fear of what peoplewatchers might comment about

how the hell did you store shoes in fannypack? plus you're like 6'4 or something so you must have huge feet thus making it that much harder.

mine has screen type crown..and a chin strap
