Any Flash Developers Here?

I really like Flash, well actually the whole Macromedia suite and web design in general. I am currently working with UNIX, SQL, and Cold Fushion-back end stuff at my j-o-b. I am thinking of changing gears and getting into an analyst type position, or heading towards the graphic area. Any thoughts on the Flash world?

I am currently studying web design in college. I go at night and work full-time during the day. I am leaning more towards web programming though. Like what you do. I am taking Javascript and Digital Video this semester. I am going to take ASP and Portfolio next semester. I want to learn Cold Fusion and VBscript. Then JAVA. I love JAVA!!!

I took a Flash class during the summer, I love Director more though.

Dreamweaver is okay, but I like to code my web pages instead of letting an application do it for me. I also quite often use Fireworks to make scratch buttons.

I love Macromedia too.

I still need to do more studying in Flash to really get into all the inner workings of it. At college they keep putting the Dreamweaver and Flash classes together so I only got, like, half a semester of Flash. They should just have a Flash class period, no Dreamweaver, just Flash. There is so much to learn in Flash. *sigh*

java was the first language I used. A real bitch if its your first intro to writing code. I hear you on coding your own pages, but Dreamweaver is still a great app IMO. I used Dreamweaver at my last job, loved it! Flash is pretty damn complicated, like any other powerful tool. I am definately a beginner, just putsing around at home when there's nothing good on TV.

What's director like?
