Any Chiro's or Orthopedists

Last year I was diagnosed (MRI) w/a protruding disc at the L4/5. The disc puts some pressure on my sciatic nerve & obviously can be painful. Backed of lifting/running & went to therapy for 3-4 months & shrunk up, seemed to quiet down but when I increase intensity it flares up again...I have decided its just something I will have to live with & will try to control it w/therapy, traction etc, but what about heavy lifts (squats, deads, bent over rows) I have been squatting & doing some 45 degree leg press lately but only w/light weights (is one worse than the other for this injury?) What about Deads/Bent over rowing? It's seem like a manageble injury & one that I will have to live with for a while. BTW the doc did not recommend surgery but said i could go the eperderal (sp) route...

Any input would be appreciated
