Any bros have spot lipo done?

Re: TEST...WWE

If you really want to see what spot lipo looks like...just watch the World Wrestling Entertainment for the character named TEST, and see how messed up it looks...your choice.

Does anyone have a photo or a link?

I had lipo done six months ago. It was the best decision I ever made. I had some fatty areas which were never going to go away and this eliminated the problem completely. I feel really good about myself and have gotten a lot of complements. I am told by my surgeon that we are born with all the fat cells we will ever have (just like muscle cell which we can't increase in number only size). Why people look "fat" is because those fat cells increase in size as they store fat. Some people simply have areas of their bodies where fat cells are concentrated, it's the way they're built. We all need to carry around some fat. If your body has areas where fat cells are unusually concentrated you are going to look fat even if your body fat is very low. As far as the safety of the operation, I considered it very safe. Taking AAS is a compromise you make with your long term health. If you make a mistake you can live with problems the rest of you life. From the articles in the newspapers many of the diet drugs being sold may be just as dangerous. I don't think liposuction has nearly as many risks. I had my procedure done by a very respected surgeon. Between his fee, the hospital and the anesthesiologist the bill was about $7000. The best part of it is those fat cells I had removed are gone... they're never coming back. If I put on a little weight as I get older it's going to be somewhere else, not in my belly and love handles and I don't have to take endless diet drugs and spend hours per week on tredmills. I can concentrate on lifting:D

I can respect that.

chiguy> Glad it worked out for you. How long was the recovery? Can you post a little about the process?

Big E 75,
Been reading here for some time, but this is the first post related to me, so I registered and here goes.
I had lipo done on my flanks ( love handles) one year ago and am totally pleased with the results. I now wear a 32 inch waist pants instead of a 34 inch.
I train regularly and practice good nutrition, but couldn't get totally rid of that stubborn area. It's just like some women have those "saddle bags" along their outer thighs that a re persistent despite nutrition and exercise..
I found a great doctor who is a bodybuilder, checked him out and went for it. Total costs $3900.. doctor, surgery center charges, and anesthesia. Worth every penny.
It's a personal choice, there are nay sayers everywhere. Make your own decision and best wishes.

Lipo works very well on the obliques. (Considering your bf isn't too high). It looks natural, doesn't hurt and leaves a scar the size of a dot --if the doc is good. You may only need a local for obliques. Getting it on the rectus abs is a different story. It often comes out lumpy, hurts like hell and takes months to heal.

what about the ass, a lot of pain in removal of fat spots there?

The process and my progress: I had about 1.5 liters removed (you may think that's a lot but frankly it's not, a liter of water weighs less than 2.25 lbs; I'm told the maximum lipo suction surgeons in general will take out is 13 liters! my surgeon's limit was 3 liters). I spent the night in the hospital - I can't imagine doing it any other way you are just too uncomfortable. I had a total of 8 incisions (my surgeon did a total body "sculpting" - I had small amounts of fat in a lot of places including my chest, not gyno more towards my arm pits). Went home the next day in a compression suit (a crotchless girdle) which I wore for three weeks all the time (you were allowed out of it 15 minutes per day to shower etc.) and for another three weeks at night. The suit was like a security blanket since it prevented swelling. After the operation I was very sore. It may be suprising but it was a muscle soreness not a skin soreness. It was like some how I managed to do 5000 crunches and woke up the next day with the consequences. It hirt to move but by the second/third day I was pretty mobile and within the week I felt really good. I'm told I had a very quick recovery (anyone in shape probably stands a good chance of having the same recovery). My swelling went down very fast. Really by the time the suit came off I looked great. Three months after I was completely back to normal (just a lot leaner, I now have an 8 pack). You can't work out for the first three weeks (technically I think your skin actually needs to reattach to the underlying tissue). After that you can go back to doing anything you feel like doing. A few months ago if I would pull my skin tight (such as over my ads) I could see lines (like tracks) where the surgical tool was pulled during the operation but those have gone away (the body seems to have some sort of self-leveling instinct). I really think I had a good surgeon and that was key.
