Actually, it was more like a large rabbit. And it was closer to 20 yards. And by "drop", I'm assuming you mean completely missed. So yes, that's entirely true.

Man, I can't wait for the summer so I can tune my bow and get some more practice in, lol.

Animals have a huge advantage to the ground- or still-hunter not using firearms. Ever try sneaking up on a whitetail within 20 yards? It's damn hard if not impossible for the average hunter and a healthy animal.

Now people sitting on their asses in trees or using guns from 200 yards, now that's not giving an animal any chance.
