Was wondering if someone could point me in a good direction for guides to growing indoor plants. I'd like to first try growing salvia, than "maybe" trying my hand at marijuana.........but I hear that good weed is real tough to grow and you have to spend a fortune on a good hydro system. I'd be only looking to grow 2-3 plants.

I went to college for Greenhouse management/turfgrass management. Grew for years. Anyone who tells you it is hard and expensive has absolutely no idea what they are saying. Next time they tell you that ask them "Why is it called WEED? You would think with a name like that it would be as easy as growing weeds wouldn't you?" Then smack them and tell them to STFU.

logically youd look for a grow forum based in some country where pot is legal or at least decriminalized - logically people who know how to grow good pot dont advertise it - its a nice way to find yourself on a database someplace (i live in the pot growing capital of australia, its ridiculous, everyone is a stoner invading the convenience store for snacks 11pm, its hilarious :D

Have you been to LA lately?

Like people who post on EF end up on a Database?

Any information on how to grow good pot is already out there and easy to find. All the secrets are already put out there, in the US pot is everywhere. As a person who likes to smoke we realize that keeping growing tips secret only works against us, the more the public knows the better.

Watch these 9 videos, they guy talks you through building a Hydro system yeilding 1/4 lbs every two months and it's not that much. It's pretty cool how he does it. You can dig around there more, there is 8 more vids after this one.

ditch weed, maybe
but high quality dank weed is not simply like growing grass or myrtle
more to it than just putting it in soil and adding water

no i havnt, but what im talking about is getting in touch with a really knowledgeable person to pretty much hold your hand and teach you how to grow stuff

i know guys who have been investigated for stuff theyve posted on the net for roids, so why not pot?

just sayin :)

Excellent source of info Stilletto. It is fairly simple. Make sure your clone nursery is clean. Pay attention to your nutrient solution. Good lighting is critical... have adjustable height so you can keep the intensity right at the plant level. Use timers to turn everything on and off. Change light period to turn on flowering stage. You might need to vent grow area as smell is distinctive up close even with only 3 or 4 plants.

not necessarily.
I don't go crazy and had great results.

good soil (top soil), plenty of sun, an all natural (neem oil) pesticide, and I used a manure tea that I made (threw some horse shit in a bucket with water) for fertilizer, or miracle grow, but it rained every few days so i didn't have much of a chance to use it.

No cloning, just a little pruning, no fancy hydroponics or contraptions, etc.

Yeah he talks like a dentist at the start, but gets way more ghetto towards the end. I learned so much from those movies. I'm not going to go weed, but it's still nice to know how easy it is to grow if I wanted to. :evil:
 
Theres a lot behind growing the stuff man, but first of all start with soil. Its a lot more leniant for a first timmer, then go read everything from the OG databass, its all over the net now since the site went down :-(

easy there chief, just askin people to point me in the right direction. Not asking for people to put stuff down in this thread. Did EF disallow talk about homebrewing gear? And honestly I'm more interested in growing salvia plants, which are totally legal. Weed is a pain in the ass and like Dig's stated, it does open you up to danger even if you're just growing for yourself. I don't have the space for any kind of major grow op anyway. I'm sure my landlady will question me about the salvia plant as it is..........so no way I could swing any weed plants past her.

To address both of you: homebrewing steroids, homebrewing weed, or homebrewing meth -- where's the line drawn here? Last I checked, this was a workout/steroid board that wasn't fond of rec drug talk. If not, I'd totally suggest our own marijuana forum. I guarantee we could increase traffic with a pot forum. We can allow pot-growing sponsors to advertise, too!

I suppose I'm not quite sure where the line is here, and I'm skeptic of those with biased opinions -- that is, those who openly use this drug. In the same way JH1 was biased towards coke, ya know?

why would we have a pot forum?
that's not relevant to this site any more than a parenting forum is.
where's the line? maybe the line is at the difference between a misdemeanor and a felony.
Maybe the line is that pot and steroids can be, and are, often used for medicinal purposes, whereas meth never is and there is no reason to EVER know how to make it.

Nobody in the thread recommended doing anything illegal or death causing. They said, "oh, i've done that", which IMO is no different than saying "i've done coke" or "i've used steroids".
 
If I were to tell you that I would be a fool. I am sure you have heard of google and other search engines. Hydro is expensive, outdoors is almost free, but I suggest maybe going to a ggod site and read read read. Everyone has their own way. Hydro is hype anyway (wink wink) and well........ you have alot to learn on where to go, just stay working out, besides, doesn't MJ have an effect on your building of muscle? Just curious.

as I stated, I'm more interested in growing salvia right now.......but would consider a plant or two of weed. I don't like smoking weed by the way, I've had good results from putting it in tea or eating brownies. I'm not a rec user as in that I don't use it like a party drug. I almost always take weed before bed or a couple hours prior.........and not even that much at that. As for fucking with gains............you'd have to be a complete stoner for that. I've met my share of people who can't function normally unless they're high, like functional alcoholics...........so yeah there would be issues with working out there. But even a complete stoner, to me, is more palatable than a raging alcoholic.
