Any book suggestions?

Alright, so my mom is bugging me about christmas so I told her to get me a few books. The problem is I don't which ones to ask for. I'm looking for non-fiction or fiction, they can be theory books or whatever. My problem right now is that I'm stuck in a time rut and I just keep re-reading the books I already own. I figure I liked 'em once so I know I'll like them again, and again, and again. It's like watching movies.

i just finished reading Dean Koontz' "Tick Tock." it was a really good read...didn't want to get to the last page on that one. right now i'm digging into The Firm, which is starting out pretty interesting. i haven't seen the movie so it's all good.

I'm a big fan of Grisham. Read all his shit except for "skipping christmas". Don't know if I like it and haven't worked up the gumption to try it.
