Cool bro, here is my gear, I'm a huge blues player/jammer - play weekly out in Boston.

2005 Fender Fat Strat: Maple neck - Midnight wine
2004 Fender Telecaster: Maple neck - Arctic White
2003 Hamer: Rosewood neck - Sunburst
1976 Martin Acoustic (had it since it was born)

oh brother!

You cannot imagine how much more i admire you now. What a great kit! Thanks for the picture. I really really wish i were around, so that i could listen to you and maybe learn a thing or two. Very few people are interested in the blues, in my circle of acquintances.

So you perform eh? You must be such a pro! what a perfect idol you would make.

I remember the first time i heard a blues scale. I played it immediately after and startled everyone. Then i repeated the scale in triplets, and soon after started to improvise. Everybody thought i was gifted with the blues. It is my guilty pleasure. I have been playing for two years now.

I play Indian Ragas too, so some blues pentatonic scales come very close to them.

My first and only fender at this point is a Yamaha Pacifica, 2003 with a small blazer. Thats it. lol.

It really sucks that you are so far away. If even we were in the same state or something...

Thank you for such kind comments, I started when I was a small boy under some good direction with a classical guitar, then was fortunate to grow up with the influence of Clapton, Page, Jeff Beck, and Robin Trower through my older brother who is a guitarist. I did that till the past few years where I began to focus on my blues playing since it is more conducive to playing in blues jams which have become quite popular here in Boston.

Would love to jam with you if you ever came to the city, I have all the gear so you don't need a thing! That is a great story about you playing triplets over your Ragas!

MM- would al green's music of the mid/late 70's be considered blues? or is it/he too much top 40? IMO he kinda blurs the lines b/t genres.

I believe most of the 70s based soul singers had a foundation in gospel and blues, many listened to the likes of Wilson Pickett and Elvis Presley.

Very soulful and sometimes moving stuff bro.
