antibiotics will not help non drained abscess....Please prove me wrong

I think i have an abscess.....reel swolen Pink and arm to the touch

Sus, I have used in two cycles and have never experienced these symptoms non the less in week 9...No present fever

I got some antibiotics but my friend says they won't help with an abscess do to the following reason:

when you have an an internal infection white blood cells come together to form a wall of pus to block any bacteria from leaving the infected area and entering your blood stream. Therefore, an abscess doesn't have a blood flow. Antibiotics enter your bloodstream and will never enter your abscess b/c blood flows around the wall of pus.

Antibiotics will only help out if the abscess ruptures internally (as opossed the pus discharging through your skin) b/c then the meds will kill the bacteria that the ruptured abscess released into your body.

Just go the e.r cuz..

I have had this happen twice. If it is an abscess, it NEEDS to be drained. Where did you get the anti-biotics? Are they from a previous illness? Go see the doc or go to the e.r. Better safe than sorry right? Its probably just a welt from the shot. I have gotten many of these thinking they were abcess's and they didnt turn out to be anything but a little pain and tissue swelling.

the antibiotics are froma previouse illness

Did you get two abcesses dained ? ? ?

and if so what did they look like.

I have a light pink color, hard swelling and it is a little warm. There is no white center and i have no present fever.

The pain is pretty harsh, kinda beyond your typival sus pain, it has kept me outa the gym the last two days.

I want to avoid the ER so I am going to give it a couple of day regardless. the olt thing I did different was wipe the sitr dodown with rubbing alcahol and a tissue as apposed to a cotton ball. Everything else was the same......switched neadles ect..

I ama little baffles...I have had abcess scares before but this seams to be the real deal..
