As for conquering or stealing - don't get it. There seems to be little distinction between the claims of people who are driven off of land by a pillaging army and people that are tricked off their land by deception - they both lost the land involuntarily.

I will be the first to agree that Israel is a country, not a religion. For the record, 80% of the country is Jewish, 20% is non Jewish. Of the 20%, 15% are Muslim, 2% Christian, and 3% other.

It absolutely does. If we didn't need Israel's capabilities, then we wouldn't provide them the economic aid we do. the near equivalent aid we provide Egypt is in an effort to provide stability, almost equating to blackmail IMO.

Some people want to argue the (de)merits of Israel or the Jews in general based on unproven, ancient texts. I prefer to argue the point based on currently available facts and information. The fact that the troubles began, stemming from a religious "family feud," have now evolved into modern warfare, intertwined with terrorism on US soil - absolutely make the topic relevant.

Our petroleum? No, in fact, we would stand a better chance to get it cheaper if we just looked the other way as the OPEC nations took over Israel.

We are on good enough terms with Saudi that we don't need Israel's land to launch strategic attacks against other nations in the area.

This isn't a family feud, there ain't no Speed Round at the end of all this to determine the winner of the ten thousand dollars.

Seriously though, why do we "need" Israel? I can answer that, because we are a ZIONIST nation.

2) The Saudis can't be trusted. They are offering $ to families of suicide bombers, they are home to the bin Laden family, they have manipulated their resources and engaged in price fixing which would otherwise be illegal in the US;

3) No way the Saudis will let us launch any preemptive operations from their country. Hell, they won't even let our female soldiers go off-base without a burka over their head. The only reason the Saudis have let us keep our bases their is to protect their, and Kuwait's, cowardly asses from another invasion.

5) Again, you missed the salient points in my argument: We "need" Israel because we have NO other allies in the Mid-East that we can consistantly rely on.

The arab nations (OPEC) failed because of the support we gave to Israel each time. They'd be flat on their asses looking to get a new nation if we didn't constantly provide them with weapons and training and money (another fact to support the the concept of the US being a zionist nation).

Yeah the OPEC countries are really a bunch of good guys: Iran, Iraq, Algeria, Indonesia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Nigeria. The only exception is Venezuela.

Yeah, these are the guys I wan't to rely on for my energy. We should boycott OPEC if anything. The fact that they have basically blackmailed us, should say something about who we are doing business with.

If for no other reason, it should be becasue OPEC has the WORST logo in the world.
