Ask them about how we lost men trying to keep the shipping lanes open and safe from U-boats, even before we entered the war. My mother in law lived through the bombings in London - so I have heard all the stories first hand.

The Brits were quite happy to have us at their side in their time of need, just as Israel is happy to have us at their side during these times - albeit a bit touch and go

You don't think the fact that we are in Afghanistan has anything to do with Sep 11? Afghanistan doesn't even rank in the list of the top 30 oil producing countries in the world.

There is also US military presence in Kazakhstan, supposedly to fight against Al'qaeda. Which is one of the top oil producing countries in the world, so you go figure.
