Anti-Inflammatory during cycle?

Is it ok to take an anti-inflammatory (naproxen) during a cycle? I've been taking it because of my knees, but I just started another cycle too. Wondering if there's any problems with that? Thanks.

I have used vioxx, naproxen and celebrex. No issue at all.

Naproxen was harsh on my stomach.

Are you experiencing inflamed tissue or joint problems? Makes a difference for choice of treatment.

Nah, no inflamed tissue, just pain in both knees going up and down stairs and sitting for a while. My doc thinks it's arthritis. To be quite honest this naproxen isn't doing much and i've been on it for two weeks.

Thanks for the help guys.

Wasnt there a pretty valid argument awhile back that anti-inflammatories inhibit muscle growth, since the whole process of a muscle being torn down and then rebuilt has to do with the inflammation caused by heavy training? I may be mistaken, but Im pretty sure I remember reading a couple of articles to that effect. Maybe once in awhile wouldnt hurt too much if it flares up really bad, but try not to make it an every day thing if you can help it.

I've been on Peroxicam since June. Its says alcohol can cause stomach bleeding. Asprin can shut down my kidneys.. .but.. nothing about AAS on the bottle!
Interesting point by bionicbc... Makes sense!

Try two Aleve twice per day. You may also want to add some Gloucosomine and MSM to the mix. I would skip the anti-inflamatory.....this isn't your problem.

Good luck!

PS: When on....try using some Deca with your cycle....it works miracles for joints. You really only need 100mg/week to notice a difference in joint pain.
